The
Fendi’s had 5 daughters, Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Alda.
By
1946 when Paola was 15, she went to work for the business, followed by her
sisters Carla, Anna, Franca, and Alda. When their father died in 1954, the 5
daughters took over Fendi and began to expand and develop it.
In
1969 Fendi presented its first ready to wear fur collection at Palazzo Pitti in
Florence.
In
1978 Adele Casagrande Fendi died when she was 81 years old.
In
1999, Fendi sold 51% of their stock to a Prada. It was rumoured that the family
members were fighting over this decision.
